Funeral Director

My name is Anthony Foster, better known as Tony. I started in the funeral profession back in 2005, with the goal of helping families through one of the most difficult times of their lives. My role within the company is to deal with arranging funerals, conducting funerals and in general being here for families in their time of need. I also take care of the running of the company and some of the fund raising events for charity.

My goal is clear and simple: I demand a high quality of service and tradition mixed with modern ideas to cater for any families' wishes.

Senior Funeral Director

My name is Billy Morris and I am the senior funeral director at Cumnock & Mauchline Funeral Directors. I entered the funeral profession in 1995, originally with Brian Allan Whyte Funeral Directors, where I started as a funeral director. Over the years I gained a wealth of life experience within the company, eventually becoming a senior funeral director.

Our aim is to provide a personal, professional and compassionate service to families at their time of need.

My name is David Capstick. I started in the funeral trade when only 19 years old, initially as a chauffeur driver. Since then I spent time at Holmsford Bridge Crematorium before taking the chance to become Supervisor for 4 years at South Lanarkshire Crematorium. I then had an opportunity to spend time with Ayrshire's Cemeteries Department before being approached by Tony with the opportunity to join Fosters Funeral Directors, which I grabbed with both arms. I really wanted to get into the directing side of funerals and, since then, have never looked back.

My aim is to listen to and carry out exactly what a family needs and wants.

My name is Terry Buchan. I started employment in the funeral industry in 2006 as a funeral operative for Dundas Fyfe Funeral Directors, my role there involved chauffeur driving limousines for funerals, and general workshop duties. In 2010 I enrolled with William Purves embalming academy, where I completed the course in embalming. Over the 3 years since then I have worked in the mortuary, taking care of hygienic treatments and preparing your loved ones for viewings and for their final journey. In 2013 I joined Fosters Funeral Directors as a funeral director, coming here mainly because they are an independent family funeral directors. .

My intentions are to provide a professional and compassionate service so that you and your loved ones' wishes are carried out.

Funeral Director / Funeral Officiate

My name is Alan Keenan. I entered the funeral business joining Fosters Funeral Directors in 2009 after a long career in the fire and rescue service. As well as arranging and directing funerals, my role within the company extends to compiling and delivering eulogies and putting together bespoke services whether religious or non-religious, in line with family wishes.

My intention is to ensure that families receive a truly individual and unique service, and that their loved one receives the dignified send-off they deserve.

Funeral Officiate

My name is Robert Foster and I am a funeral officiate. In simple terms, I conduct funeral services at crematoriums or burial grounds. If a family is not connected to any particular church, or in fact not religious, I can sit down with them prior to the service taking place gather information about the life of their loved one, then relay that onto family and friends in a sensitive and informative manner upon the funeral taking place. I can be found floating around our offices giving a helping hand whenever needed.

My wishes are to provide families with the comfort of knowing that their loved one's life has been celebrated right to the end.

Funeral Arranger

My name is Joan Foster and I take care of arranging funerals in Glasgow. I also can be found in most cases taking care of prepayment funeral plans for the company. Now, more than ever, families are wishing to have a funeral plan to secure today's prices and protect against ever rising costs. I will visit families to discuss their loved one's final wishes and document these to hold on file come the time of passing. I can also occasionally be found driving a limousine to help out on busy days.

My aspiration is to fulfil people's wishes and give them comfort knowing that everything is in place.

Accounts / Funeral Arranger

My name is Elaine May and I take care of the accounts for Fosters as well as arranging funerals. I have been with Fosters since the summer of 2011 and working with families to sort out a suitable payment plan for their loved one’s funeral is one of my main tasks. I am usually to be found working in the office, so when my colleagues are out on funeral business I step in to help families wishing to arrange their loved one’s funeral.

Like everyone else in the company, my prime focus is on making a very difficult time as easy as possible for the families who come to us.

Accounts / Funeral Arranger

My name is Sara Blair and I take care of the accounts here at Fosters alongside Elaine. I owned my own company prior to moving to Scotland and getting married to a Scotsman.  I also help with funeral arrangements, assisting with any support that may be needed throughout this very difficult time. My main focus is to ensure that every client is taken care of to the highest standard.

My aim within the company is to work with families giving help and assistance with payment options.

IT Analyst

My name is Muhammad Ahsan, I have been employed by Fosters Funeral Directors to create operating systems to make the organisation operate as efficiently as possible. This includes linking all the offices electronically as one, essentially allowing any of the funeral directors to access information regards funerals taking place past and present; this then allows us to be fully up to speed when an enquiry takes place day or night.

My goal is to allow the company to be running efficiently and, in turn, make sure our clients receive our best service at all times.

My name is Neil Connell. I joined Fosters Funeral Directors after retiring from full time employment. My role within the company is to drive our hearses and limousines. I also help with removing the deceased into our care and general duties throughout our branches. Working within an independent family run business we enjoy the diversity of today's modern funerals; every day is different.

My aim is to provide a safe driving environment for our clients in our luxurious Mercedes-Benz fleet.

My name is Patsy Kelly, my role in the company is funeral assistant and I have worked within the company since June 2013. I assist the funeral directors in making the funeral plans come together and I am regularly seen out driving the hearse and limousines.

My objective is to support the funeral directors and families on funeral days and assist with any queries.

My name is Richard Brown. Funeral Arranger / Burnside Office Manager

My name is Caroline Kinloch and I am the Burnside Office Manager/Funeral Arranger.  My father and brother are both in the funeral industry and through time I’ve realised that this was the profession that I very much wanted to be a part of, so I was delighted when the opportunity arose to become part of the team at Fosters.

My aim is to care for the families at this very difficult time, a time when they are in need of help, support and guidance. I personally carry out their wishes with a caring, professional and passionate manner, ensuring that every last detail is put in place for their loved one, as if I was caring for one of my own.

My name is Jon, I joined the Fosters team in January 2015.

My father worked in the funeral industry for many years and, throughout that time, he has passed on his experiences to me.

It is my responsibility to ensure that the entire fleet of hearses, limousines and ambulances are maintained to a high standard and are ready to be driven at any given time. I also help with taking the deceased into our care, driving hearses and limousines as well as giving general help to the team at Fosters.

My aim is to ensure that all families benefit from clean, polished and well maintained vehicles.

My name is Pete and I joined the team at Fosters from previously working with Scotmid Funeral Care. I am a qualified British Institute of Embalmers mortuary technician.

My main responsibility is our care of the deceased.  Most of my work is carried out in our purpose-built modern state of the art mortuary where I prepare families' loved ones for viewing.

You will also see me out driving at funerals from time to time.

My aim is to ensure all families' loved ones are prepared with the utmost care and dignity.

My name is Phil. I entered the funeral profession after many years in the army. I feel my army training transfers well to the funeral industry, where the utmost respect and attention to detail are paramount.

I assist my work colleagues in ensuring that the funeral planning details are taken care of in the days leading up to a funeral taking place. This can include collection of deceased, ensuring the necessary paperwork is submitted or collecting orders of service. Working on the day of a funeral, either directing, driving the hearse or limousine is also a big part of my role here at Fosters.

My aim is to ensure all preparation prior to funerals is carried out precisely and on the day of the service for funerals to run faultlessly every time.

After a long career in Police Scotland and subsequent retirement, I am glad to find myself as part of the team at Fosters

My main responsibilities are taking part in funerals, driving family cars and taking our families' loved ones into our care.

My aim is to ensure that, as part of the team, funerals run smoothly and that families are transported comfortably throughout the duration of the funeral.
